NPMCA VERIFIED
What Verified Means

Six Standards. Verified Annually.

The NPMCA Verified badge is not a logo a contractor pays for. It's a status that's earned — and re-earned every year — through a defined set of professional standards.

Licensed & Insured

Every NPMCA Verified contractor carries active general liability insurance, workers' compensation coverage, and applicable state and local licenses. We verify these annually.

Proper Classification

Verified contractors operate under the correct NCCI workers' comp classification — ensuring they're properly insured for the work they perform and not cutting corners on coverage.

Safety Committed

Verified members complete NPMCA Safety Fundamentals training and maintain an active safety program. They protect their crews, your property, and the public.

Industry Standards

Verified contractors follow NPMCA best-practice guidelines for material application, temperature requirements, surface preparation, and cure times. The work lasts longer because it's done right.

Customer Reviewed

Verified members maintain a track record of quality work with documented customer reviews. We monitor satisfaction continuously and act on patterns.

Professional Development

Verified contractors invest in ongoing education through NPMCA certifications, workshops, and the annual industry conference. Their crews don't stop learning.

How It Works

How a Contractor Earns the Badge

A clear, defined process — not a logo for sale. Each step is documented, time-stamped, and re-verified annually.

1

Join NPMCA

The contractor joins NPMCA as a member (Business Basic core tier is required, with optional Pro, Growth, or Scale add-on packages). Membership is the foundation — the badge is not available to non-members.

2

Submit Insurance Certificates

The contractor provides current Certificates of Insurance for General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial Auto. NPMCA verifies coverage limits and active status directly with the carriers.

3

Pass Classification Review

NPMCA's risk team reviews the contractor's NCCI workers' comp classification to confirm they're operating under the correct code for pavement maintenance work — a step that often saves contractors thousands while protecting consumers.

4

Complete NPMCA Safety Fundamentals

Owner and key crew complete the NPMCA Safety Fundamentals course covering hot-work safety, traffic control, PPE, hazard communication, and first aid.

5

Receive the NPMCA Verified Badge

Upon completion, the contractor receives the digital NPMCA Verified badge for their member profile, website, email signature, proposal templates, and truck decals. The badge is valid for one year and re-verified annually.

For Contractors

Want to earn your NPMCA Verified badge? Contractor Membership starts at just $29.99/mo for the Business Basic core tier, which includes the full Verified badge review process, ongoing safety training, and directory inclusion.

We're Not a Pay-to-Play Directory

NPMCA is a 501(c)(6) trade association. We exist to elevate the pavement maintenance industry — not to sell you services or rent contractors leads at the highest bid.

We do not charge contractors to be listed. We do not sell premium placement. We do not auction your contact information to the highest bidder. Verified status is earned through professional standards, not payment.

That's how it should work. That's how trust is built.

"The NPMCA Verified badge tells consumers something the contractor's own marketing cannot — that an independent, member-governed association has reviewed their credentials and stands behind them."
